Collection: Merci PouPou

The story behind one of our favorite projects: the "Merci PouPou" jersey.

When Mathieu van der Poel first lined up at the Tour de France, Raymond Poulidor was no longer with us. Yet he remained present — in the team's history, in the stories passed down, in the way cycling carries itself across generations. The Alpecin-Premier Tech, Fenix-Premier Tech team didn't want that memory to simply fade. The idea for a special jersey emerged, along with a few accompanying pieces, all designed to keep Raymond's legacy alive. We had the honor of being the ones to actually produce it. Together with the team, we turned a one-off tribute into something permanent — a piece of clothing that carries a piece of history.

The year's new limited-edition Merci Poupou x Alpecin-Premier Tech, Fenix-Premier Tech collection is a tribute to one of the sport’s most beloved legends. A rider admired not only for his results, but for his perseverance, humility, and the way he connected with fans across generations.

This collection brings that legacy into the present—combining heritage with modern performance, and celebrating the spirit of cycling both on and off the bike. The team will wear the jersey on the second rest day of the Tour de France. This is exactly what we find most meaningful about making cycling apparel: the chance to give a story a tangible shape.
